"Leading the way in sustainable chemistry, now and into the future…"
Since 2004, Cerealus has been evaluating, developing and licensing sustainable technologies to address a number of specific market applications. Through our partnerships and collaborations with various academic institutions and industrial users, we continue to develop a diverse range of bio-based solutions.
Ceregel™
CEREGEL™ is the latest generation in strength and retention that will save paper mills up to $14 per ton though implementation of "best practices" process improvements. CEREGEL™ will provide paper mills with new or enhanced capabilities, such as increased bond strength and reduced retention agents. Our new processes will enable mills to increase their starch utilization, which will allow the use of more ash and save fiber.
Implementation of our patented process utilizes existing feed systems and will not require capital expenditures. With collaboration from the University of Maine, our technical team will guide you through a comprehensive evaluation in order to customize your optimal solution. For more information, see our product brochure.
Holdout™
Holdout is the first biodegradable coating for food service products that provide grease resistance without fluorocarbons. Our "sustainable" paper coating provides the same characteristics, at similar costs to current and recently reformulated fluorinated compounds.
Our patented bio-based coating is made from a corn protein and was developed jointly by Cerealus and the University of Maine. Paper mills, converters and end customers will benefit knowing that all ingredients are FDA approved, considered PFOA free and fluorocarbon free. For more information, see our product brochure.
